Sophie Fairfax, or Mademoiselle Velcro, as the MDBC, calls her, is a French girl who lives with her grandfather (Edouard des Roches, in the carriage house where he is a chauffeur) since her parents are divorced. She is pretty and fashionable and gets along well with boys. She and Megan Wong start off on the wrong foot, which leads to a prank by the whole Mother-Daughter Book Club on national television.
She is a vegetarian.
She is first introduced in Wish You Were Eyre, and remains as a side character in the following book. Her grandfather marries Megan's grandmother (Gigi) so they are cousins. Annabelle Fairfax and the Berkeley boys are also cousins.
